Meet the Junior Board
Rutva Bhatt
Director of Public Relations
Rutva is currently in her third year of undergraduate studies at Boston University in the Kilachand Honors College, pursuing degrees in Neurobiology and Psychology on the pre-medical track. After her undergraduate studies, she will matriculate into Boston University School of Medicine through the MMEDIC direct admission program. She graduated from Huntley High School in 2019.
This will be her fifth year involved with S.C.A.R.F. She began as a student in the Mentorship and Career Guidance Program in 2017 and has now served for one year on the S.C.A.R.F. Junior Board.
After college, her goal is to use her voice as a physician to work towards greater access to healthcare and health education, particularly for female and minority populations. She is also very passionate about reducing stigmas within cultural norms regarding mental health and women’s health.
In her free time, she enjoys creating digital art and acrylic paintings. As Director of Public Relations, she plans to promote S.C.A.R.F.’s mission as a non-profit organization, increase access to health education, and combat misinformation through various social media accounts. She hopes to combine her passions for art and medicine to grow S.C.A.R.F.'s platform and reach, while also using this position to grow herself.
