Jessica Spentzos
Professional Educator
Jessica Spentzos enjoys staying at home raising her children and regularly volunteers at her their schools. She has been actively involved in philanthropy work through Barrington Junior Women’s Club where she serves as co-chair of the Safety Town program. Prior to this role, Spentzos served as a special education teacher in the Chicago Public Schools as well as surrounding Northwest Suburbs of Chicago for twelve years. Spentzos also served on various Curriculum committees assisting in the authoring and development of curriculum. She is a parent of three children, Louie 9, Viviana 6 and Nicoletta 18 months. She enjoys cooking, traveling and reading. Spentzos graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education, Special Education Learning Behavior Specialist in 2003. She graduated from Olivet Nazarene University with a Master of Art in Education, Curriculum and Instruction in 2007. In 2011 she earned a Master of Art in Education: School Leadership, Administrative certificate. Jessica Spentzos holds administrative, Type 75 approvals as both supervisor and director of special education and certification in learning disabilities, cognitive impairment, emotional impairment for children aged 3-21. Jessica prides herself on being highly experienced, flexible and an active team member dedicated to guiding all students and staff to succeed while inspiring an insatiable passion for learning. She is excited to serve on the S.C.A.R.F Educational Advisory Board and implement her educational experience to support their mission to eradicate the deadliest healthcare epidemic.
